The FedEx Field stadium was host to the International Champions Cup Clash between Chelsea and Barcelona yesterday.

Despite being without stars Messi and Neymar, Barcelona started the game well passing and moving the ball quickly. Although Chelsea's defence were able to cope with what Barcelona threw at them in the early stages.

However, it was Chelsea who got the ball rolling, when Eden Hazard made an incredible run past 5 Barcelona defenders and goalkeeper Ter Stegen to give the blues their first goal. As the first half continued Chelsea appeared to dominate the play after coming close on a number of occasions.

During the second half, star striker Luis Suarez was able to get his team level with a well-timed finish. Barca then added their second when Sandro scored a wonderful goal from the edge of the 18 yard box.

Although Barcelona were in front, Chelsea kept the pressure up, which paid off when Gary Cahill was able to score in the 85th minute. The blues defender took a knock from Jordi Masip in the process.

Due to the rules of the tournament, there was no extra-time and the game headed straight to PKs. Which Chelsea were able to win after Halilovic and Pique missed theirs.

Overall the game had a great atmosphere despite both clubs being abroad and shows exactly how soccer and it's fans are growing in the US.
