Western New York Forward Abby Wambach has decided not to compete at club level for the Western New York Flash this season in order to prepare for the World Cup.
The forwards decision has raised some questions in the game as a whole. Such as whether not playing for her club can keep her prepared for her country.
However the forward has performed well at her national level. Which does help her cause in that she knows what is best for her.
Coaches in the game world-wide have majorly differed on opinion regarding the decision. But with the Women's World Cup being held later this Year only time will tell who was right.
