NWSL: Final three week Showdown

With only three weeks left of the NWSL, the play-offs are edging ever close, we take a look at who's likely to make them and who could win.

There are only three weeks left of the regular "league" season with the play-offs just less than a month away. The top four in the league make it to the play-offs below we take a look at each.

The current front-runners for reaching the play-offs are Seattle Reign who have performed well over their season so far and earned an impressive 33 points. The Reign look like they will be top come  Houston Dash, the Boston Breakers and Sky Blue FC are their three remaining games.

Washington Spirit are currently level on points with the Chicago Red Stars. They earned the position after beating the Red Stars yesterday. With only three games left and six points above fifth place Portland Thorns it's likely both Red Stars and the Spirit will keep their place in the Play-offs.

The final team to take a look at are FC Kansas City who looked in good form in their 3-0 win against Portland Thorns and in their 4-0 win against New York Flash (on the August 8th). The side have got themselves into the top four but despite their recent good form, are just three points in front of the Thorns.

Overall these four have done well over their seasons and no recent dip inform has put any in too much danger. However, this is Soccer and anything can happen.

So who ends up in the play-offs? We will have to wait and see...
